Port City Proud is a local group of construction and building professionals who have come together to help our friends and neighbors in their time of need. We’ve all seen the destruction caused by the fallen trees and rising flood waters of Hurricane Florence, and these folks were ready to help.
Since Hurricane Florence, we’ve been working hard to clear trees and debris for our neighbors during the recovery process. Less than a year later we are planning to be back at it. If you have downed trees on your property, we’re ready to come help.
We’ll be asking for donations, which will go back to our neighbors who are in need. Our relief efforts will be focused on hurricane victims in New Hanover, Pender, Duplin and Sampson counties. We’ll be working with Hope From Helen, a 501 (c)(3) charity which has earned a reputation for helping neighbors in need. With more than a decade of experience in raising funds to help people, Hope from Helen is the perfect organization for us to partner with. All donations will go directly to people who have been impacted by our Hurricane season.
We are a non-denominational organization made up of people anxious to help people of all kinds. We’re looking for help of all kinds.
If you have money to donate, it will go directly towards those in needs. If you’re ready to volunteer, we can find a way for you to help. Assistance with debris removal is critical, but there are many ways that you can help with our mission.
What started as a group of four people cutting down and removing trees has raised over a hundred thousand dollars for our community since Hurricane Florence and doesn’t plan to stop.
Everyone knows someone who is hurting from the destruction caused by these terrible storm, but not everyone knows what they can do to help. Now’s your chance to be part of our movement and make a real difference in your community.
Come be a part of what makes our Port City Proud!
